Description
Knowsley Council, the Municipal Journal’s Local Authority of the Year 2024, is seeking an exceptional new Executive Director (Resources).

As the Executive Director (Resources), you will lead the effective working of the council as a corporate organisation. This role, as the Council’s S151 officer, will see you strategically manage a significant net budget of approximately £250m and a 3 year capital programme of £138m and provide strategic advice to the Chief Executive, fellow Chief Officers, and elected members on all financial matters, ensuring all financing and funding models for the council are considered, explored, and implemented as appropriate. The role also leads a broad range of corporate enabling services including, Exchequer Services, Policy and Performance, Human Resources, IT, Assets, Democratic Services, Legal and Customer Services. Your authentic approach will enable the Council and its Members to work collaboratively across political and organisational boundaries, recognising that we all want the best for Knowsley, and maximising our collective resolve to make a difference and enable our residents to thrive.
